Pennsylvania’s newest casino opened last month, and revenue has already significantly increased for the state. The SugarHouse Casino has brought more money into both Philadelphia and the state.<\/p>\n
The state’s ten casinos brought in $197.5 million in October, compared to September’s gross terminal revenue of $186 million in revenue. An 11.5 percent increase has occurred, bringing even more money into the state.<\/p>\n
SugarHouse Casino has gone through its first full month of operation, and it generated a total of $12,816,506 in revenue. Over $137 million in wagers were placed through the machines in this state.<\/p>\n
Parx Casino was the biggest earner in the state, generating $30.8 million in revenue. Of this, $10.4 million went to the state in taxes.<\/p>\n
The revenue generated from the state’s table games has not yet been released. The state is not expected to release these reports until later in the month when all data has been accumulated.<\/p>\n
The increasing popularity of casino gaming in the state has been viewed as the primary reason for ailing revenue in the revenue of surround state’s gambling centers, particularly in New Jersey.<\/p>\n
