\"\"In September, Nevada’s gambling centers generated $918 million in winnings. This represents one of the few increases in revenue over the year, and is the first time in three years that the state’s gaming centers showed an increase in revenue for two months in a row.<\/p>\n

The increase was marginal, but any rise in the casino’s win is welcome. A 1 percent rise had been experienced over the same month from last year.<\/p>\n

The statistics show that even across the first nine months of the year, the gaming industry in Las Vegas had experienced increasing revenue. A rise of 4.3 percent was experienced over the first nine months of 2010.<\/p>\n

Las Vegas’s Strip generated nearly half of the state’s gaming revenues. A total of $520.6 million had been brought in across the strip, which is a rise of 2.8 percent over the month. Baccarat and sports betting have shown to be the heavy winners for the state.<\/p>\n

Reno is continuing to show declines in gaming revenue, as is Lake Tahoe.<\/p>\n

The gambling industry in Nevada has not yet begun to regulate online gambling, but increasing declines in the state’s coffers could prompt legislators to change their minds on how Internet wagering is handled.
